Your Arena

Days of old are the…days (I’m not a novelist) where you are tethered to the Chuck-E-Charlie arenas of inept neon lights and paper thin walls. The arena is anywhere you want!

Plug and Play

Plug the UbiConnect into the provided PC to set up player tags and sync guns

Have an Arena Anywhere

UbiSoft BattleTag brings the fun of a laser-tag arena to your house!

No need to fight traffic to get across town (or to another town), buy over-priced poorly made pizza, and stand in line between games. Turn your basement, backyard, gymnasium, narthex, or vestibule into your own private laser tag arena.

Computer and Game Software

The UbiSoft BattleTag system comes with a laptop that runs the game for you. The BattleTag software provides several gameplay options for your party/event. You can name individual players, play Free-for-All or team games, and use the included “power-blocks” to make things more interesting.

Looking to spice up your next party or event? UbiSoft BattleTag may just be what you’ve been looking for.

Free for All

FreeForAll Players fight each other to score frags. Customize your game the way you want. 1 to 16 players/5 to 20 minutes One hit, one point, one frag, 4 points! How to play One hit gives you one point. A frag (when your opponent loses his last health Point) gives you four points. So, try to target the weakest players to score more points! Stay covered and keep moving to avoid enemy shots! Required gear With the Starter Pack: two Ammo Packs, one T-Blaster and one Sensor Vest per player. With the Med-Kit Extension Pack: the two Med-Kits Suggested settings for a first game Playtime: 5 minutes 5 minutes is a good duration for a first game. Later, try to play 10 minutes. And if you want a Frag Marathon, set this option to 20 minutes for an endurance fight! Infra red power: 4 It depends how sunny your play area is. If it’s very sunny set it up on 5. If you play inside, set it on 3 or 4. If you play at night, set it on 1 or 2. Ammunition: 9 rounds per clip 9 rounds per clip: Semi-automatic pistol, instant reloading. Not so many bullets in your T-Blaster, to encourage tactical use of the Ammo Packs, but if you want more shooting action, set this option to 12 bullets. More shots but less strategy… Infinite rounds is rather for fun than for the challenge. And finally, if you want a western style gun fight, set it to 6 bullets. This way players will have to be more careful with their ammunition. Clips: 3 Average amount of clips per T-Blaster. Not too many, not too few. You start the game with 3 clips. One is already loaded, the two others are in store. When you reach 0 bullets, your T-Blaster automatically reloads if you still have at least one clip. Health Points: 5 Enough stamina to get shot four times before being fragged and giving 4 points to your opponent. If you play with the Med-Kit Extension Pack, check your Dashboard regularly (press the Control Button to change the information displayed) so you know when heal yourself with a Med-Kit. Swap: Off Swap means that players can’t scan the same T-BOX (Med-kit or Ammo Pack) twice. They must alternate between the two different types of each. Why? Just to avoid “campers”, players who stay close to an Ammo Pack or a Med-kit, healing themselves and reloading with infinite ammunition. But for your first games, play without this option (OFF) to get familiar with Battle Tag. Later, we advise you to activate this option for more interesting games. Suggested setting for the play area The “Free For All” gameplay is more interesting when played in a large area, such as a park, an entire house or a large backyard. Especially if there are more than four players. If there are four players or less, the play area doesn’t need to be very big. Try to dispatch the Ammo Packs and the Med-Kits at equally around the play area. Hide them behind cover. When a player is out of ammo or has only one Life Point left, it’s better for him to be able to scan the T-Boxes safely.

Last Man Standing

Respawn Mode: Auto After being fragged (when an opponent takes away your last Health Point), you do not have to perform any special action to come back in game. Just wait for the time set in the Respawn time option to pass. Respawn Time: 5 This is the time you have to wait before coming back in game after having being fragged. Setting this option to 5 seconds is a good way to begin. Later, may be you’ll want to set it up to 10 seconds to penalize fragged player and encourage skirmish tactics. Team Frag

TeamFrag Teams fight each other to score frags. 1 to 16 players/5 to 20 minutes One hit, one point, one frag, 4 points! How to play Shoot the opponents’ team members to score points. One hit gives you one point, one frag (when your opponent lose his last Life Point) gives you four points. So, try to target the weakest players to score more points! Stay covered and keep moving to avoid enemy shots! Required gear You need one T-Base per team and of course one T-Blaster and its Sensor Vest per player. For two teams using the 2 Players Starter Pack: Optional (with the Med-Kit Expansion Pack), 2 Med-Kits and T-bases 3 and 4 to play with 4 teams. Remember, Ammo Packs and Medkits are optional. Suggested settings for a first game Playtime: 5 minutes 5 minutes is a good duration for a first game. Later, try to play 10 minutes. And if you want a Frag Marathon, set this option to 20 minutes for an endurance fight! Infra red power: 4 It depends on how sunny your play area is. If it’s very sunny, set it to maximum, 5. Especially if there are more than four players. If there are four players or less, the play area doesn’t need to be very big. Try to dispatch the Ammo Packs and the Med-Kits at an equal distance from each team’s deployment zone. Each team must have the same chance of reaching an Ammo Pack and Med-Kit. In this way, when one team pushes another into a defensive position around its T-Base, they’ll have Ammo Packs and Med-Kits close enough to support the assault. Hide them behind cover. When a player is out of ammo or has only one Life Point left, it’s better for him to be able to scan the T-Boxes safely. It’s not as important to hide the T-Bases. Players are out of the game when they have to scan their team’s T-Base. And if you have not set the Respawn time to 0, they have to wait for 5 or 10 seconds before being targeted again. Enough time to take cover!
