Karl’s Interview: Laser Tag and a Wedding

Hey guys! Shae here. I had the privilege of getting to talk with Karl about an event that he threw together for two of his good friends who were about to get married. I hope you guys enjoy the conversation as much as I did!

Hi Karl! How about we start with you just telling me all about how you incorporated Laser Tag Source into your event. 

Well it all started a couple months before the wedding, The Bride, Groom, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen are all really good friends of at least 10 years, so we all know each other very well. The Maid of Honor and I were talking about doing something really cool and I joked, “What about laser tag!?” We decided that would be the coolest idea ever, and more jokingly than serious I googled outdoor laser tag in that area. The first result was Laser Tag Source and I immediately exploded in excitement. The MoH (Jessie) and I made a secret facebook group, and invited all the people going who were our friends to it, all of which immediately agreed that this was the radest idea ever. The first night we were all in Brevard, NC, we told the Bride and Groom we had a surprise for them, busted out the guns, and had Bride versus Groom laser tag!

That’s awesome! I’m so glad you were able to find us!! What made you choose Laser tag as an activity instead of something else?

The wedding was taking place in a mountain vacation rental place, lots of land, really remote, and lots of buildings. Jessie and I talked for awhile trying to figure out some cool group activity we could do. Laser Tag incorporated everything we wanted: outdoors, teamwork, not too complex, tons of fun.

What equipment did you order for this event? 

We rented 12 Phoenix LTX’s, and for the Bride and Groom, we rented 2 Ultimate Phoenix LTX’s, it was a fun little way to give them a Wedding Weekend Advantage! And we were extremely satisfied.

I’m so glad that you guys were satisfied with your order! What was the reaction like of the bridal party when they found out the plan?

 Everyone had an absolute blast! Even all the older family members of the Bride and Groom said it was fun just to watch, as 14 mid-20’s “adults” ran around the top of a mountain screaming and laughing! The main response was how everyone was surprised how great the guns were, mostly people expected some cheap lousy guns that wouldn’t work outside!

 I love it! That’s so fun that they enjoyed watching you guys. Did you have anything else you wanted to add about your experience with Laser Tag Source?

Feel like we covered most everything in the previous questions, but I will say the Costumer Service was phenomenal! I talked to them several times on the phone, and they always answered my questions and helped me out a lot. Shipping was a breeze too! We all agreed that whenever we have any event like this again, we’re gonna have to use Laser Tag source again (maybe even spring for those fancy pancy tippman ones!)
