INTERN!

I’ve had the pleasure to meet and work with Kayla through the Berglund Civic Center and have snatched her up as Laser Tag Source’s newest Event Intern. Welcome her to our team and get to know her better through our digital interview!

Hi Kayla! Thanks for coming on board to work with us. Tell me about your background in the Event Industry.

“Hi everyone! I am very new to the event industry! However, I currently work at my church and one of my responsibilities is working with our event team. I also work as an Event Supervisor for the Berglund Civic Center. In both of these positions I have had the opportunity to work on many different events from church picnics to the circus.”

Working with church events and secular events is always fun and challenging! How did you get connected with Laser Tag Source?

“I became connected to Laser Tag Source through Kristina, who is the Marketing Coordinator of Laser Tag Source and Vice President of their sister company, Big Event Source. She and I have the pleasure of working together at the Berglund Center.”

We’ve had fun so far and I’m sure it will continue! What’s the most challenging part of your internship?

“The most challenging part of this internship is being creative and original.  Like any business, I desire that Laser Tag Source stand out amongst the rest. I want to make an impact on the company that will take it to new levels.”

We already appreciate your hard work and I can’t wait to see how you tackle our presence at the Ignite Men’s Conference, held at Liberty University in Lynchburg March 6-7! We are ready to change it up and make our installation fresh and exciting. What are you most excited about for the Ignite Conference?

“I am most excited about a special exhibition that Laser Tag Source will be having on Friday evening of Ignite. I think it will be fun addition to the Ignite Men’s Weekend.”

Yes! We can’t wait! What is your #1 event tip?

“My #1 event tip is to have faith in the process. In my experience with events I have learned that everything WILL NOT work out the way you had planned; and that’s okay. Continue to have confidence and faith in yourself and in everything that goes into it. You and the event will always come out better if you maintain this perspective. (Sounds a lot like life doesn’t it?)”

My goodness yes – that’s a GREAT tip! Anybody looking to do events – whether they utilize laser tag or not should file that away! Setting realistic expectations and sticking it out should be the first two items of a job description in the Event Industry! Thanks for working with us Kayla – we’re excited about this partnership, as well as partnering Laser Tag Source together with the Ignite Men’s Conference!

As Kayla mentioned we are so excited to tackle Ignite (formerly Wildfire) and add a fresh, new dynamic to our laser tag presence.

Will you be at Ignite? Do you have suggestions for us on how we can make laser tag fresh and exciting for this event?

Let us know! Tweet to us @lasertagsource or Leave us a Comment on Facebook. You won’t want to miss out on Kayla’s hard work – and we’ll see you there!
